1. Information We Collect

When you register and use Wake Up, we collect the following:

• Name, email address, and encrypted password
• Profile image (optional)
• FCM device token for push notifications
• Alarm titles, dates, times, and recurrence settings
• Voice recordings you upload and AI-generated voice files
• Timezone and device platform (iOS / Android)
• Activity logs (alarms set, voices generated, etc.)

2. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account, including OTP email verification
• To schedule and trigger your alarms at the correct time using your timezone
• To generate and store AI voice files from uploaded samples or celebrity characters
• To send push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
• To protect your account by tracking failed login attempts and applying temporary locks
• To send OTP emails for signup, password reset, and email change flows

3. Account Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. After a set number of failed login attempts, your account is temporarily locked to prevent unauthorized access. OTP codes expire after 2 minutes. Authentication tokens are issued via Laravel Sanctum and invalidated on logout.

4. Alarms & AI Voices

Your alarm data is private and only accessible by you. Voice recordings you upload are stored on our servers solely to generate your personalized alarm voice — they are not shared, sold, or used to train AI models. When you delete a voice or your account, associated files are removed.

Wake Up is completely free to use. All features, including alarms and AI voices, are available to every user at no cost.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We only share data with the following service providers to operate the app:

• Firebase (FCM) — push notifications
• Email service — OTP and verification emails

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is removed from our active systems. Encrypted backups may persist for up to 30 days before being permanently overwritten.

7. Your Rights

• Edit your name and profile image anytime
• Delete individual alarms and generated voices
• Change your password through the app
• Permanently delete your account and all associated data

8. Children's Privacy

Wake Up is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, please contact us and we will delete the account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
